Did you know that of all the places on earth, Jerusalem's Temple Mount, behind the Western Wall, is one of the few that God calls "holy". It is there that He chose to place His Name for all time.
In 2 Chronicles chapter 6 you can read of the original dedication of the Temple by King Solomon. He stood before the assembly; blessed God, blessed the people, then prayed that the LORD's eyes and ears would be turned toward His servants and His people Israel whenever they prayed facing the Temple. At
the end of the dedication, God's glory fell for all to see.
Solomon's prayer eventually gave rise to the age-old Jewish custom of
placing notes in the cracks of the Western Wall. This is as close as they can get to praying on the Temple Mount itself.
As Christians, we carry with us the belief that God will hear our prayers
wherever we are in the world. Nonetheless, if you would like to post a
prayer from His Holy City, we are here to deliver it to the Wall.
