Memo To Parents: ABCs for a New Millennium
This material appears courtesy of Nappaland
As a committed Christian parent in the new millennium, by God's grace I resolve to:
Ask for Jesus to help me each day
Be kinder than necessary
Cuddle with my kids
Devote time to family
Eat chocolate every day! (OK, and share a few bites with my kids)
Flirt with my spouse
Get ready for church on time (at least once!)
High-five a teen (or two)
Insist on family fun!
Joke around
Keep reminding my kids I love them
Let a few things slide (hey, the dishes will still be there tomorrow, right?)
Make prayer a priority
Notice something good about my children
Open up to my spouse
Practice patience
Quit worrying
Read a book aloud to my family
Spell out family rules and enforce them
Take each of my family members out on a date
Understand that tomorrow's memories are made today
Value my family
Whine less
X-Ray my motives
Yawn in the face of disaster (or at teenagers coming in past curfew), and
Zealously read my Bible each day!
