Marriage

A Prayer of a Wife
This material appears courtesy of OliveBranch

Prayer of a Wife The following prayer is from Ephesians 4:17 to 5:1

Thank you Lord that my husband does not walk as other men of the world walk, in the vanity of their minds, having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindess or hardness of their heart and who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness. So I thank you Lord that my husband has put off all coversation of the old man which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts and is being renewed in the spirit of his mind.

My husband puts on the new man which is after God, created in righteousness and truth. He puts away all lying, he is not angry nor does he give place to the devil. His hands are given to labor and he has plenty to give to those who are in need. He lets no corrupt communication come from his mouth, but rather edifys, so that he may minister grace unto the hearers. He puts away all bitterness, wrath, anger and evil speaking so as not to grieve the Holy Spirit of God. He is sealed with the Holy Spirit of God until the day redemption.

My husband is kind, tenderhearted and forgiving even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven him. He is a follower of God and walks in love - as Christ so loved us giving himself for us as an offering & sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
