Abortion can lead to breast cancer
(CNSNews.com) - "If England's Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recognizes the increased risk of breast cancer for women who have had an abortion, why not the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists?" Judie Brown, president of the American Life League, asks in a Tuesday press release. Citing research by Dr. Joel Brind, president of Breast Cancer Prevention, the Royal College said breast cancer risk increases by one third for women who have had surgical abortion. However, abortion rights advocates associated with the Royal College have sought to misinform the media about abortion risks, despite the fact that the college's own guideline supports scientific research linking abortion with breast cancer, Brown said.
