Birth Control and
the Bible
The Bible doesn't specifically address the issue of birth control. Although there were a number of birth control methods available very early in civilization, the Israelites viewed the conception and birth of children as a gift from God - and barrenness as a curse. Therefore, there is no mention of "limiting" the size of families in scripture.

Times have changed, but when making this important decision we urge you to prayerfully consider your options. Be certain that God is directing you to limit your family.

And, if you believe that life is created by God and is present from fertilization, then be sure to choose a contraceptive that will not interfere with the life of a developing baby, even at its earliest stages.
